Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Performs additional duties as determined by the Director or Deputy Director of the Office of Emergency Management.Serves on Hamilton County Hazardous Materials team and maintains training requirements.Maintains readiness to respond to various specialized calls as determined by the Director or Deputy Director of the Office of Emergency Management.Oversees/Coordinates specialized rescue training.Attends fire education professional development training and conferences.Serves as an on-site Safety Officer when all aspects of live evaluation training is underway.Oversees and maintains the testing bank of questions provided by an outside vendor to support instruction of students that aligns with the State of Tennessee Fire Commission.Oversees and updates the electronic testing program used in the classroom to compile and maintain grades of current and past students.Serves as an evaluator for each level of fire training certification.As the Lead instructor coordinates and oversees NFPA 1403 live burn training to include all aspects of the NFPA standard. Operates as a lead instructor to evaluate other agencies during State practical testing.
Schedules and Coordinates Tennessee State Fire Commission testing along with the oversight of the State of Tennessee Acadis online program management system as it relates to student records and testing dates.Develops and implements Tennessee Fire Commission NFPA standard training requirements.
